Web Developer (Burnaby)

Trader Corporation has a development center located in Burnaby, British Columbia that is responsible for online development for AutoTrader.ca, Dealer Smart Solutions and many other vital systems that power our online Automotive solutions. Your work will reach millions of users each month!

The Job: • Perform advanced troubleshooting for system and application level issues for all Trader Corporation websites, including coding, unit testing, technical analysis and integration. • Performs root cause analysis on system/user errors and identifies corrective action and liaises with production support to resolve issues where applicable. • Provide thorough documentation and technical support for existing applications where necessary. • Provide basic system administration and support in the development environment • Liaise with the Infrastructure and Development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues. • Provide 24x7 oncall support by rotation.

We are looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science • Strong knowledge of C#, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft ASP.NET platform, Visual Studio, Internet technologies, HTML, XML as well as security techniques and web server familiarity. • Programming/scripting experience; .NET development experience - an asset

• Priority Setting • Strong oral, interpersonal and customer service skills • Strong Organizational and Time Management skills • Problem Solving • Experience with defect-tracking systems • Ability to act in a responsive and sensitive manner to all customer inquiries

Experience working in a large company with a high volume website is a definite asset.
