INTERNSHIP - Graphic designer / Desktop Publisher (Richmond)

We are a 3rd generation family owned local aviation company celebrating our 65th anniversary, and we are currently refocusing our marketing strategy for a number of upcoming trade shows that we need to prepare for.

This is a short term role, not permanent and is an excellent opportunity for a co-op student needing a project for course requirements to show what you can do to help develop and implement a complete marketing strategy for us, top to bottom. You will be working with our corporate management and marketing team, reporting to our Managing Director. If you are not a student simply looking to fulfill course requirements, please provide compensation expectations.

This work will be a continuation of the theme of our recently re-designed website http://www.westernpropeller.com & logos. We also have some current printed literature in this theme as well to use as a starting point.

You will be responsible to work with writers to create a variety of marketing materials for print and web including brochures, ads, and proposals including file preparation for pre-press and checking proofs.

You must have a diploma or degree in a marketing, communications and/or graphic design, or be working towards it, and be proficient in Adobe CS3 (InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat). Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong organizational skills with an ability to effectively manage multiple and competing priorities are a must.
